ASBESTOS
REMOVAL

ASBESTOS REMOVAL
Removal By Type 1, Type 2, or Type 3 Operational Procedures.
As a rule, removal will initially be the most expensive method. However, depending on the circumstances, in the long run, asbestos removal can be an economically preferred option. Removal of asbestos is the only permanent solution. In most cases, where Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM) are removed, an appropriate substitute material must be reinstalled. Fiberglass pipe covering is a widely used product and the costs associated with supplying and installing this new material are relatively low. In Type 3 Operational Procedures, an eight chamber Decontamination Structure is installed. A Dirty Area Room, Garbage Storage Area and Clean Area & Room with airlocks are temporarily installed. These Decon's have filtered showering facilities. The water is filtered through a 0.05 micron filter collected into 45-55 gallon drums for testing prior to any discharge. Under Type 3, the area is kept constantly under negative pressure. HEPA Filtered Negative Air Pressure Units are installed strategically and vented outside. All electrical equipment, HEPA Vacuums, temporary lighting and Negative HEPA Air Units are hooked up to temporary Ground Fault Interrupt (GFI) panels. The area will have electrical lockouts where required.

INSULATION

INSULATION
Blown Cellulose Insulation is composed of 85% recycled newspaper. The remaining 15% is composed of non-toxic borate compounds which resists fire, insects and mould. Cellulose earns “green points” due to the fact that it requires less energy than fiberglass to manufacturer. Cellulose also helps to reduce energy consumption and promotes environmental responsibility. Blown Cellulose can be installed in new or existing structures. It is popular in retrofit applications because existing wall finishes are not removed to install the insulation and it can also be pumped into walls. It is favored in attic applications because you can blow unrestricted depths of fiber to achieve deep coverage more easily.

Sprayed on Polyurethane Foam is pumped through pressurized spray nozzles. As it lands on the surface of your attic or side walls, it expands to form a continuous insulation barrier. Sprayed polyurethane foam insulation can seal and fill all the tiny cracks and seams you might not even see. The seamless material virtually eliminates energy-wasting air filtration. This application process creates a seamless, water-proof, durable building envelope.

FIRE
PROOFING

FIRE PROOFING
The threat of a fire in a home or any building is one of the biggest concerns for building owners. One of the best defenses in preventing the ignition or spread of a fire is to fireproof your building. A building can be fireproofed either in the building phase or in the renovation phase. Fireproofing increases security for the structure, reduces liability and provides superior air-tight thermal protection.

ANA Contracting uses the Spray-on Fireproofing method. This technique involves the spraying of various products onto construction materials in order to improve their resistance to fire while decreasing their chances of weakening, burning or melting under extreme heat. These fireproofing materials can be applied directly to steel beams, roof and floor assemblies, columns, concrete services, and joists in both industrial and commercial environments. The amount of spray-on fireproofing needed will depend on the weight, size and type of structure to which it will be applied.
